Winter hikes Perfectly equipped for winter wonderlands.

“Winter hikes are something very special. You rarely run into anyone, and the natural sights you see are simply amazing. When I think about the footwear I need, comfort is naturally a priority. But the height of the upper and the lining material are also very important. When I set off on a hike through the snow, I’ll need a higher upper with an insulating lining. But if I’ll just be hiking through the woods, all I need is a normal MID-CUT boot with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane.”

GORE-TEX
During the winter, the GORE-TEX membrane equipped with a cosy and warm lining (80% polyester and 20% wool) provides optimal comfort.
Vibram
Vibram has been one of the leading brands of high-quality soles for many years.
TWO ZONE LACING
Thanks to the two-zone lacing system, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the footwear can be individually adjusted to the foot’s anatomy.
DOUBLE INJECTION
To provide effective cushioning and improved comfort, the sole of is bonded to the upper in a technically demanding injection process. The upper boot is placed into a specially designed mould. Various layers of PU-foam padding are then poured into it. In the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.

SUPPORT FRAME
With the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame, the midsole provides the very best comfort. This three-dimensional midsole design was developed by LOWA in 1995. The frame comfortably cradles the foot and supports it when the shoe wearer ventures across an uneven surface. The sole design is slightly raised for shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME.

WOMEN LAST
To ensure perfect fit, the lasts used for female footwear have been specially designed with the anatomy of women’s feet in mind. The last plays a key role in the ultimate fit of a boot. Women’s feet have less volume than men’s feet. As a result, the instep height and the ball area of these lasts have been altered.

Insulation LOWA winter shoes are outfitted with insulation made of GORE-TEX warm lining or PrimaLoft®.
Comfortable Comfortable footwear is essential for long distances covered on foot. This is why LOWA places such a high priority on exact fit, something that is perfectly designed to handle short or long strolls.
Stability To ensure sufficient grip during hikes, both the sole and the upper should be stable.
